Garima

Garima was a very troubled and depressed teenager who attempted suicide at 17years of age. She was disappointed and was determined to end her life, when the Lord spoke to her in a peaceful yet powerful voice saying, “Garima, I have been calling you since so long. Why are you not coming to me?” And as she heard His voice, she felt immense peace within, and instantly gave her life to Jesus saying, ‘You are my Lord’. Having chosen Jesus over her family, she had to leave home. She is now a Pastor and a strong leader.

Sanju Samuel

Sanju Samuel was an alcholic, a drug addict, wrongly convicted and SENT TO JAIL. When in jail, he received a GIDEONS BIBLE, which touched his heart and made him seek forgiveness from the Lord. When he was healed of his blood cancer and his jail sentence was reduced from 24 years to 9 years, he believed the Lord has fulfiled the promise in Hosea 6:1 - that He would heal us and bind us. He is now a FULL TIME PASTOR in Nizamsagar and has brought more than 120 souls to the Lord.

Lomesh Chand Saini

Lomesh Chand Saini and his entire family were jailed. Here he received a Gideons New Testament which guided him to the Lord. He is now a full time Pastor, Evangelist and has worked with several Christian organizations. He continues to baptise people and bring them to the Lord. He is very grateful to the Gideons through whom he was led to the Lord.

Robert D'Roza

Robert D'Roza and his family lived in abject poverty which was dehumanizing. He had a rough childhood, would go to school without food, lived in deep sadness and dealth with an alcholic father. One day, as he was having disturbed thoughts, he found the Gideons New Testament which was given to him at school and for the first time in his life he felt that there was a ray of light streaming into his dark world. He started ministering to his family over the years brought his family to the Lord. He is now a pastor serving the Lord for over 30 years.

The Gideons International is the result of a meeting between two men who wished to band commercial travelers together for evangelism. What began in 1908 as an Association of Christian businessmen placing Bibles in hotel rooms has evolved into an expanding mission to provide Scriptures to all people in nearly every facet of life. Today, we have taken more than 2 billion Scriptures in more than 95 languages to 200 countries, territories, and possessions across the globe.

We exist as an advocate for the lost, to bring them the saving knowledge of the Word through not only placing and distributing Scriptures, but also through personal witnessing and by associating together for service. As a united force for the Gospel, we remain rooted in tradition, but we operate under the firm belief that anyone can be a valuable asset to this invaluable cause.
